The Marylebone is our featured hotel for Summer 2017 and for good reason! Located in central London, the hotel is just a moments walk from Oxford Street and the bustling Bond Street, Soho and Hyde Park. Upon arrival the staff were extremely friendly and offered me a refreshing beverage as they checked me in.

The ambience of luxury and decadence is reflected in the stylish Parisian furnishings and fine Italian ceramics throughout the hotel. There is also various displays of modern art works from the Rebecca Hossack Gallery in the lobby and restaurant areas.

There are 257 rooms in the hotel which includes 44 suites. The rooms feature neutral colours and striking furnishings which compliment the whole hotel ambience. I was lucky enough to experience The Marylebone’s luxury suite which was 432 sq. ft in size. The suite had a separate seating area with a sofa and lounge chairs which was perfect for kicking back and relaxing after a busy day in the city. My view overlooked Marylebone Lane which also was lovely to wake up to. Some other mentionable aspects include fresh fruit on arrival, 40” TV in seating area, bluetooth speakers, VIP turndown service, and a dedicated work area.

The bathroom was one of the nicest hotel bathrooms I’ve ever seen. It had a double vanity unit and it came with Italian marble flooring, a bath, shower, and Aromatherapy Associates toiletries. The hotel room also featured luxury bedding, fluffy bathrobes and slippers, free WiFi, tea, coffee and water and more.

There are three restaurant/bar options at the Marylebone; 108 Brasserie, 108 Bar and 108 Pantry. The bar area is bright and lively with its red leather seating and zinc-topped bar. The Marylebone also has an extensive menu of cocktails which is perfect for an evening drink! 108 Brasserie leads off the bar and offers all-day dining with a British-based menu that uses the highest quality ingredients – the risotto in particular is divine!

What really stood out for me was the fresh juice afternoon delivery from The Juicery, which is part of Pantry at 108. The Juicery features a menu of healthy, fresh juices and smoothies. Each recipe on their menu is created with ingredients from the local markets to insure each product is packed full of flavour and energy enhancing vitamins to give juice fans the ultimate kick start to their day.

Guest of the Marylebone Hotel can also avail of the 16-metre swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and dance studio.

All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, ensuring that I had the most pleasant stay as can be. The vibe of the hotel was one of the best I’ve experienced and the location is perfect for those coming to London or looking for a staycation getaway!
