My second stop in Nha Trang was to the second Six Senses resort in Ninh Van Bay. The only way to get there is by boat and I was super excited to go to a more secluded area. Because the resort is located on a peninsula (not an island), it’s exclusive but not entirely remote. The service, food and ambiance of this resort was excellent – the staff’s enthusiasm and smiles were contagious. I found myself smiling a lot and it wasn’t just because there was fruit and water at every turn.

We stayed at a beach front villa with a path that led from the villa to the beach and a private pool. The resort spans over a huge area so there are options to walk from area to area or ride a bike or call a buggy. It was all very relaxing and serene, an extremely welcome change to the hustling city life. While we were there, we decided to go on one of the many hiking trails available – there are a few available according to your level of fitness or willingness to move while on holiday. We went on an extremely early hike to make sure we beat the heat and the sun. As we made our way back to the villa after our hike, the sun was rising and the light was beautiful.

If physical activity isn’t up your alley, you can lounge away and enjoy their entertainment center that is complete with an ice cream bar that serves free ice cream until 4PM. Other activities also include sunset drinks on a boat that has an open bar for all the libations you can handle while sailing in the water. There’s also a few dining options, including dining by the rocks, which hosted a Six Senses x Banfi wine dinner while we were there. Every dish was prepared to match a Banfi wine, which also happens to be the winery we stayed at last summer in Tuscany (read more here). And to end the day, you have to try the world renown Six Senses spa, complete with all the treatments you’ll ever need when you’re on a holiday. I had a 60 minute body massage that I’ll forever daydream about, the perfect addition to my day after hiking.
