Where to nest in the heart of Soho

I love Soho. As a Londoner, Soho is so much fun and never too much. Every other week there are new cafes and restaurants popping up, every weekend there are parties and the area never sleeps. On a recent visit, I had to chance to stay at The Nadler Soho. I’ve walked pass it many times when I was living around the area but never had a chance to visit. Here I am, at the back of a small alley in the heart of Soho. I know the aree by hand, so for me, navigation was not an issue at all. The Nadler Soho doesn’t have a restaurant unlike many other hotels nearby, but being in the heart of Soho, you literally have everything on your foo...

Come Dine With Me

Sharing is caring! In Asia, we are very used to the sharing concept. In the West, while people love gathering around for food, it is not that common to order sharing plates. When Market Hall comes into the scene, it slowly revolutionizes the food scene in London. What is very familiar to us- a food hall, is new to Londoners. Secrets to managing my damaged hair – Part 2

Earlier on I wrote something about how I keep my damaged hair look healthier, and here is the second part of another product line that I use religiously. Working in the industry as an editor gives me the opportunity to have access to many different brands and products. I had been given a sample size (again!!) at one of the press days, it’s a blow dry cream from this hair brand 72Hair which I haven’t heard of.  Knowing what specific products I need for my bleached blonde long hair, I am always quite reluctant to test them out especially I haven’t heard of the brand before. But this is a blow dry cream, so I thought there could...

A Cotswold hideout

This summer in Europe has been amazing. In England, it was one of the best in the past decade. Instead of fleeing to the normal summer islands for a bit of sun, I decided to stay in the country and hide in the countryside. Realizing I have never really explored the English countryside, I picked a place I’ve never been. Without a clue how it looks like and how to get there, I picked Ellenborough Park. My previous experience at Coworth Park gave me a very positive image of how beautiful and calming Cotswold is, so I knew it would be beautiful and peaceful.  After a little research and lots of questions, my friend and I arrived a...

Secret to managing my damaged hair- Part 1

I had been dyeing and bleaching my hair since I was 15, and all the chemicals are definitely not helping. Having very short hair for many years, I’ve recently grown my hair, and that means a lot more care. There is a price to pay when you want to have smooth and healthy looking hair. Let’s be honest, double bleached long Asian hair will never be healthy- at least I can try to make it LOOK healthier. The bleached hair can get really brittle and easily frizzy, especially in the dry and windy European winter days.  A while ago I came across a sample size of the English brand Percy & Reed   Overnight Recovery. I decided to brin...
