Glamourous Quaglino’s launches sustainable cocktail menu

There is something about a royal connection; everything the royals touch somehow seems to turn into gold. Founded in 1929 by Giovanni Quaglino, a restaurateur from the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, the London iconic restaurant Quaglino’s became a haven for Royalty throughout the years.  The Queen and Prince Phillip visited in 1956; Hollywood legends, the political elites, and celebrities such as Judy Garland and Angelina Jolie were also guests, after the restaurant reopened in 2014, Prince Harry was among one of the first ones through the doors. Currently owned by D&D London, Quaglino’s is synonymous with style and glamou...

Quintessentially British Afternoon tea under the Chandeliers

One of my favourite places in London, be it for breakfast meeting, taking visiting friends and family, a nightcap or a date night at the bar, Bernes Tavern in the London Edition has a special place in my heart. Inspired by the classic muted colours of Johannes Vermeer paintings and American artist Donald Judd, Berners Tavern has taupe coloured walls, dusty rose chairs, and a subtle play between modern and period detail. Tub chairs in the front of the space create a café-like setting, while banquettes in chestnut mohair and taupe leather and round, rift cut bleached oak tables define the central dining area. Two large custom bro...

Yakitori Omakase in the heart of London

It’s never easy to find authentic Japanese food in London, let alone one with quality ingredients and reasonably affordable price tags. The much loved Jidori, the Japanese yakitori and small plates restaurant, opened its first door since 2 years ago in Dalston, it has finally opened its second site in Covent Garden. Spread over three floors of a Georgian terrace on Catherine Street in the heart of Theatreland, Jidori can seat approximately 50 diners and will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. The design takes inspiration from the vibrant restaurant and bar scene of Tokyo, where the streets are a maze of tiny drinkin...

Discovering The Cavendish

Marylebone has become more and more fashionable, and there are so many nice places to wine and dine. 35 New Cavendish for example is one. Since its launch in November 2014, The Cavendish in the heart of Marylebone, is one of the places that most stylish locals hang out.  This hip bar and all-day brasserie with a relaxed vibe and plush interiors, that combines the characteristics of an old world English pub serves a modern European menu. Being almost 2 years old, this little place managed to stay a well kept secret and only known among those who are “in the know”.   Newly appointed Italian head chef, Douglas Santi. With over ...

Fun times at STK Ibiza

A while ago I wrote an article about the SEEN exhibition at STK Ibiza, finally I made my way there to see it myself and had the most fun night with great company. They say it’s all about the experience at STK, The New York Originated Global Steakhouse. It was true- I testified it.   Not your average steakhouse, with The One Group (global leader in hospitality and creator of the STK brand) and Dubai based global venture capital group, Foxhole Holdings behind; it is no doubt this new addition at Ibiza had already attracted the likes of Eva Longoria, Nicole Scherzinger, Tinie Tempah, Alesha Dixon and Tyson Beckford etc.   Split...
