Every cloud has a silver lining. Every brand has a silver product?

Have you heard the latest buzz about using silver in skincare and wellness products? I had recently been introduced to Colloidal Earth, founded in 2017, who wanted to change the health and wellness landscape with the vision of educating individuals on how to utilize the world`s natural resources to improve their quality of life. They have produced a collection of products, using the purist high-quality colloidal minerals and colloidal silver, namely Complete Colloidal Mineral Complex, Colloidal Silver, Colloidal Silver Dropper and Colloidal Silver Spray.

Out of curiosity I looked it up. Celebrities had been highly singing praises to this trend and the products. I am no scientists but on a brief research, dating back to ancient times, silver was a popular remedy to stop the spread of diseases. Going as early as A.D. 78, the Elder, Pliny reported that silver slag, the gunk left over from smelting silver, “has healing properties as an ingredient in plasters,” throughout the Middle East from A.D. 700-980 silver was medically used for heart conditions. Its use as a natural antibiotic continued until the 1940s when modern antibiotics arrived. There are multiple reports, journals, findings debating the pros and cons of using silver for the human body.

Now I am not here to tell you what to do with your body, because it is always a case by case situation, one product is magic to someone can be disastrous to another. I am only sharing my own experience, I was gifted 2 products to try. With that background knowledge in mind, it is not hard to see why silver can be used as anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and curing situations like eczema. I have the Colloidal Silver Spray  and the complete colloidal mineral complex . My skin has always been quite clear and bright, perhaps it’s my no-make-up habit, perhaps it’s the environment, when I tried the silver spray, I don’t see any significant improvement, nor did it do any harm to my skin. When I looked into more of the product reviews, I see a lot of users posting before and after photos with a very drastic change. It didn’t really have that effect on mine given the short period of time I’ve tried.

As for the liquid food supplement, I’ve tried out a little. We often hear some people have a deficiency in this mineral and that Vitamin, leading to a certain illness or diseases. So the rationale behind the Complete Colloidal Mineral Complex is to offer up to 72 plant-derived trace minerals and elements that will keep the health system functioning well. Being a liquid form means the body can absorb better and quicker, and once your body has all the minerals it needs to function, you will feel energetic and strong because your body is not lacking anything it needs. When I tried the supplement, apart from the water becoming a little foggy, it is odorless and tasteless, you don’t really realize you are drinking a certain amount of diluted concentrated solution of minerals. It will probably have to take me much longer to incorporate this supplement into my daily routine for a more noticeable effect to my health. My friends in the medical field, of course, advise less intake due to the potential risk of mercury poisoning, but the thing is, one can expose themselves to the same risk even just by consuming a lot of seafood from unclean water.

Now people are not going to turn blue because of taking and using products with active silver, on a very very rare case, Paul Karason, has developed a case of argyria, a blue-gray discoloration of the skin and mucus membranes, but that is a very rare case. The point is, Colloidal Earth products are 100% lab tests and compliant with UK and US safety standards, they are vegan and made in the US, clearly stating the best before date and which batch number are the products from. Whether the products work like magic on you is always a very personal scenario, probably also depending on many variables in your health, lifestyle and environment too. And if you study their ingredients labels, you will find out the amount of silver they use, is probably within the safety limit for daily usage.

The verdict? Know your body well and what works best for you. Unless your body is allergic or intolerant to a certain thing, there’s always no harm trying it out and see for yourself. You end up learning something new!
