If we say that the new coffee culture is
what makes Vancouver the new cool place,
let us not forget the Tea.
We were so grateful to discover this Tea Bar
on a cold day in Vancouver,
a life savour,
a breath of fresh air
in the new cool.
I love the sense of Space and Zen Modernism in here,
a long counter-to-stool kind of setup,
where you can watch your tea being brewed,
I find meditative calmness and inner peace in watching water boil,
brewing and pouring into different bowls and decanters.
Calm, Relaxing and an interactive experience with the Tea Master.
There are so many high quality naturally sourced tea to choose from,
Tasting flights, from China to Japan to Taiwan,
We chose the Taiwan tasting flight in 3 different kinds of Oolong tea.
Of which we were impressed by GABA tea,
it has a 梅 aroma, and apparently is good for the brain as told by the Tea Master.
Another Tea that is really the new trend out there – KOMBUCHA
Kombucha is a fermented, carbonated tea brewed with a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast.
What it really is, is a bubbly probiotic super-tea on tap,
kind of in the concept of Yakult 益力多
It really tastes like apple cider.
but good for your body.
This is simply, perfect.
And some snacks just in case
I thought it was just going to be three cups of tea in the tasting flight,
but we tried at least 3 layers of brewing of each tea,
and it was so relaxing, we at least stayed for 2 hours, and had to pay for parking again and again.
This is a one of a kind experience, and I couldn’t ask for more but this precious quiet time,
with tea, and self-reflection.
What is your tea inspiration?
This is the perfect cup.
