Milan-based fashion house Max Mara usually plays it safe – with a generally squeaky clean colour palette and minimally detailed silhouettes, this Italian modernist label is not one who veers too far away from comfort. On an unusual turn of events, in celebration of the opening of Max Mara’s duplex Central flagship store at St George’s building, I was invited to Shaw Studio to witness the replica of their Milan FW 2012 runway show. I was utterly impressed! Inspired by the theme of travel, Max Mara marries art, music and technology and transformed the space into one of the most impressive shows I’ve witnessed this year. Using holographs to create a fashion presentation is certainly groundbreaking, I salute to the team at Max Mara for shaking off their conservative air and dare to try something new. Do take a look at the video clip!
An absolutely stunning holographic fashion presentation that wowed the crowd.
